In the spring of 2018 I was given the incredible chance to be one of ten student designers working on the 15th edition of Ninth Letter - a semiannual literary journal published by the University of Illinois. During this process I learned the ins and out of print design and publication, as well as countless lessons in graphic creation and copy arrangement. Working in such a large group on something creative was an entirely new practice for me, but I sincerely enjoyed it and became very effective at both communicating my own ideas, worries, and needs as well as picking up on other's. I was able to have multiple images published within Ninth Letter and my artwork was very nearly chosen to become the cover.
Upon publication, our team won the 2018 Applied Arts Student Design award for our work.
